ONLINE EVENT VIA ZOOM Intention: According to Chinese Medicine Five Element Theory, the autumn season i s related to the emotion of grief. It is our intention to create a space where we can use journaling, yoga asana, tea meditation and drumming as a way to be present with grief. Event Registration: Date: Tuesday, November 28th Time: 4 PM PST/ 7 PM EST Sliding Scale: $15, $20, $25 (Ticket) and if you would like the option of having the herbal tea blend mailed to you, it will be an extra $15 (6 tea bags + shipping costs). Recommended Tea: Hawthorn, marshmallow root, rose buds and vervain (herbal blend we will be journeying with) Registration includes access to the recording and reflection questions. Closed Captioning Available. Event Details: Opening circle, gentle movement, tea meditation, journal/reflecion, drumming meditation and community reflections. About the Tea: Herbal Blend *Rose Buds - help move stagnation *Vervain - process emotions of grief and sooth the nervous system *Hawthorn - support the heart and remind us of our connection to self and others *Marshmallow Root - soften rigidity About the Facilitators: Carolyn Egan *Chinese Medicine Practitioner, herbalist and ritualist *Tea Meditation: Being in the presence of herbs through a guided meditation helps deepen our personal and collective connection to plant kin. *As we do this guided meditation with hawthorn, marshmallow root, rose and vervain, we will be present with how these herbs can support us in offering wisdom in how to process and witness how grief shows up for us. Linda Lopes *Certified Yoga Instructor 500H, Guided Energy Healing Practitioner, and shared Sacred Drum Medicine. *The sound of the drum can bring us deep within our hearts and in union with the Earth. The drum awakens us into our authentic selves and leads us to our heart's deepest desires. *To honor the ways of our ancestors and ancient wisdom, we will gather to experience and receive the sound of the Sacred Drum.
