Knowledge Share: Eye Health

In this Knowledge Share, we will be exploring the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of eye health within the framework of Chinese Medicine. 

The physical aspects of eye health that we will explore is looking at the muscles of the eye itself and learning what they do, learning basic eye exercises to help strengthen of the eye, food therapy and general herbal suggestions for general eye health.

The emotional and spiritual aspects of eye health that we will be exploring relate to the liver and the spirit of the liver known as the hun. When our emotions become suppressed or stagnant, this too can also affect our eyes and our ability to "see" clearly (this can be physical or it can also be emotional and spiritual). When we find ways to relate to emotional stagnation and notice when it feels alleviated, it allows space of us to move between the spaces of hindsight, nearsightedness, farsightedness and foresight which are also aspects within the hun that we will take a deeper dive into together during this Knowledge Share.
